FMGE December 2023: A.K.Educational Consultants’ Students Emerge Triumphant!
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) recently declared the FMGE 2023 December session result at natboard.edu.in. 37,827 students had appeared for the screening test, out of which 7,781 qualified. Pune, 06 Feb: The National Board of Examination conducts the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) every year in June and December. It is a screening test that all foreign medical graduates intending to practice medicine in India have to qualify. According to the NBE guidelines, the FMGE Pass Percentage is 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks.The exam serves as a measure to check if the student attending the exam meets the standards and competency requirements of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
FMGE is a challenging examination that puts a student’s knowledge to the test. Hence, the examinations pass rate remains minimal and fluctuate.

The overall results, including this year, have been meagre. Some reasons for an overall low FMGE pass rate include the following.
- Students choosing substandard budget friendly universities abroad with low infrastructure and teaching methodology
- An incompetent student selection procedure before admission
